Who We Are The UK registered charitable trust provides a means of communication between Kenya operations and our many UK based supporters, as well as vital financial support to the Home via your generous donations. The trusts objective per our Trust deed is ‘The relief of poverty, sickness and distress and the advancement of education for children including orphans in Mombasa Kenya by in particular but not exclusively the support of Tumaini Children’s Home.
The trustees come from a variety of backgrounds –some are regularly visitors to Mombasa, others have a personal friendship with Joan, one is a returned volunteer, others have worked in Africa, but all have the same common desire to ensure the long term viability of the Home and supporting the children who are resident there. Funds are distributed to Kenya in order to achieve one or more of the following aims:
