The Home is a charity organisation and depends totally on funds raised through fund-raising events and donations form individuals and organisations. No matter how little you can donate it will make a difference to the children.
Many individuals and staff of organisations hold their own fundraising events and we have flyers and information to support you should you wish to do this.
There are many ways in wich you can make a difference in these children in need of care, love, and education.
'If you are visiting the Home and wish to give money directly then please make sure that you obtain a receipt at the time of your donation.
If you wish to send money directly to Mombasa, please make cheques payable to "Tumaini Children's Home" (however the Kenyan postal system is not always reliable) or email us and we can supply transfer bank details.
Monies donated in UK are used to maintain the Home. The UK charity sends out monthly standing orders to cover food,medicine and supplies necessary to maintain the running of the Home, including payment of salaries and utility bills. Larger donations are sent to cover equipment, eg washing machines, IT equipment, tables and chairs, etc.
We would prefer you to donate via the UK as we can reclaim 28p in the pound via gift aid.'
